Recent Floods in the country are being termed as the
biggest of all floods on the planet, which have
rendered millions of Pakistanis homeless. Most of
the affectees are extremely poor people who lost
every thing including their homes. Thousands of
villages and towns have completely submerged in
flood water resulting into unprecedented disaster in
the country's history. However, if as a nation we
stand united to this occasion, we can convert the
loss to an opportunity.
Ex-Director General Pakistan Rangers (Punjab), Major
General Muhammad Yaqub Khan realizing the need,
initiated the project for construction of houses for
flood affectees on 1st September 2010. Alhamdolilah!
so far we have been able to construct and handover
1173 houses to the affectees. This has proved as the
first drop and people from across the country and
even overseas Pakistanis are eager to join Punjab
Rangers for this noble cause.
